Mallorcan Beach Villa
Second property for a client whom we are currently working with on the fourth commission in over a decade, covering their diverse family requirements: two city, one country and this 7,000 sq ft beach villa. Working with the appointed Spanish architect for this contemporary new home, maximising the flow of natural light and spectacular views was paramount to the interior design brief.
All materiality was adapted to suit the warm, climatic conditions including brushed stainless steel, Wenge and Iroko woods and natural fabrics – linens, cottons, wools and leather, in muted tones. Furniture and accessories were sourced locally from antique shops, adding character among contemporary pieces.
“With so many large windows, we had to consider these individual vignettes, by day and night. Decorative lighting was thoughtfully selected for each space; handblown glass globes held together with knotted rope evoked an organic ambience to the master bedroom”
