This month I received the huge honour of being included in the inaugural Country & Town Interiors Finest 50 Designers 2018. The new annual includes some of the UK’s most talented, sought after and prestigious creatives so, to be included, is truly flattering.
I nutshell my style into the three most integral stages of the design ethos at Fiona Barratt interiors; neutral palettes, textured layering and the formation of depth and intrigue. The way in which I carry out these stages is largely down to the materials and fabrics I use. Reclaimed wood, polished concrete, cast metals, woven leather.. the list is endless! This variation of textiles and finishes also adds excitement and diversity to each project I work on. Although my style may remain consistent, each job requires a completely different structure and use of textures. Colour palettes work in the same way. Although, I like to work mostly with neutrals, accessories and antiques which add tonal accents throughout.
Of course, the privilege of being named amongst Country & Town Interiors stellar list of designers would have been impossible to achieve without the amazing team I work alongside. The tireless dedication and hard work of the Fiona Barratt Interiors team knows no bounds and I am thankful everyday for their commitment but also their passion for the work we do and the projects we work on.
