Monticello Development, Rome
Commission to design a 3,800 sq ft show villa and 2,400 sq ft show apartment in one of Europe’s most prestigious residential developments – Monticello, boasting panoramic views of Rome.
Our design for four-bedroom Villa Pazzi focuses on the artistry of detail and a sense of refined and understated luxury. Vernacular traditional details were maintained to offer the highest standard of refinement. The kitchen exudes warmth, airiness, space and light; drawing inspiration from classical European style combined with luxury textured wood veneers. The open-plan design maximises the views around the site with informal entertaining and chef’s style kitchen.
“A true testament to European and Italian design and craftsmanship. The elegance of Rome is captured through a mix of muted tones and rich bronze metals. Details subtly reference Roman architecture – from ancient mosaics seen through handcrafted textiles to strong cylindrical forms that pay tribute to the famed Roman columns.”
Materiality in the form of timers, metals, leathers, velvets and marble are used to add depth and texture to the design; both beautiful and timeless. The bedrooms have a restful ambience created through so layering of textures and soothing tones. For the bathrooms, we added a touch of touch of statement indulgence, using striking Italian marbles.
